Johor Bahru Part 3 - Kway Teow Kia

Restoran Ka Hoe serves one of the best Kway Teow Kia in Johor Bahru. It's a Hokkein dish, that comprises of flat rice sheet strips served in a soothing herbal broth with braised pork offal and other side dishes. The offal are made to braise in that broth for long period of time to give it that distinct porky flavour that blends well with the herbal broth without one overpowering the other. The mixed offal here are exceptionally clean which in my opinion is pretty rare to find and it tastes great! Their home made chilli sauce is tangy and spicy, giving an entire new dimension that enhances the flavours and textures of the side dishes. The herbs in the broth takes on a completely different character when introduced to the chilli as well. Truly a delicious meal that would forever be etched in your memory.
