Johor Bahru Series: Supper Time!

We had some room for supper and decided to get some Mamak(Indian Muslim) food from ABMH, a 24 hour joint which was near our hotel. We didn't expect much and boy were we wrong.
We got a Maggi Goreng and a Mutton Murtabak. The first thing we noticed was the size of the Murtabak, generous would be an understatement. The Roti part of it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The minced mutton was well tenderised with chopped onions and bound together with beaten eggs. The eggs were really fresh, fluffy and light making the entire dish fun to eat. The lightness on the eggs was contrasted by the juices of the mutton and onions which were absorbed by the eggs well.
The Maggi goreng on the other hand was a pretty simple dish, ideal for a light supper.
Once again the eggs made a world of difference. The springy noodles with small clouds of eggs was
good from first to last bite. The light seasoning was well mixed into the dish making it flavourful without overwhelming. If you are a big eater, you might be needing 2 servings or more.
